[MOPO] stock cartoon poster QUESTION

the poster shows an R by 1959.   But it is a stock poster.

 

why would a stock poster have the " R "  ????

 

and, if you see me bid.......................DONT THINK YOU WILL OUTBID ME!!!!!  (just kidding).

 

i saw a promient ebay seller with the same artwork of this poster had no bids when he advertised ir for 199 (i think).............   but i do not recall if it was exactly the same, or had a different date
