I saw author Salman Rushdie at a lecture several years ago, and he told an amusing Oz story. After writing a book about the Wizard of Oz, Rushdie received a package from Meinhardt Raabe, the munchkin coroner. It contained a movie still showing Raabe holding the death certificate, except Rushdie's name was on the certificate. This seemed rather eerie considering the death threats against Rushdie, but Rushdie assumed it was nothing personal and that Raabe probably sends these altered photos to a lot of people.
