I got this email a few days ago sent via the ebay
system. It was about the title card which I currently have listed in an
ebay store with a buy it now price of $1,000.
Dear Walter are you aware there is another seller
on ebay selling this card with a buy it now price of $695 their name is
jessie_cat807 and are registered in Canada but are shipping from
SanFrancisco i was just looking at their full scan and despite them saying it
is better than yours they appear to have taken your scan and used it on their
site if you look closely there are a couple of marks on your card that would
not be on anybody elses a little dot above the G in nothing the bottom left
hand corner and 2 thirds up the left hand border i doubt they even have the
card or why else would they use your scan yours most sincerely
I had a lot of other things on my mind when I got
this a few days ago and only thought to check it out just now.
You will notice that the seller claims to have
"bought this about three years ago from a Heritage auction."
I went and looked at the Heritage online sales
realized list. They never listed the title card separately, and, the one
time they sold an incomplete set of the cards, which included the title card,
I bought it, in 2005.
The only other time Heritage sold cards from this
film, they sold the British lobby set, which looks nothing like this American
lobby card.
