Hmm... "today's generation" must be older than me
(nearly 30), 'cuz I'm not familiar with Lucy at all,
and I know we had many repeats when I was a kid.

But on that, Michael had a FA the other day with
posters from a movie I have seen, and loved (The
Heiress). But do you know why I'll never collect truly
vintage posters? They're complete duds. They're ugly.
>From an artistic standpoint, from a colour standpoint.
I've investigated many "old" movies I've seen and
liked, and none of them had art and/or design that
appealed to me. And the problwm with MOST new posters
is the art is simply generic. Headshots on paper.
Boring!

My Snow White collection is the only exception to this
rule, but even then, I have many vintage items that I
look at and think "why did I buy that?". I much prefer
the colours, the designs and the cheek that comes from
the newer posters.

That doesn't mean to say I've never seen vintage paper
that doesn't appeal to me. I've seen heaps of it, but
most of it is probably in very limited supply, and I
could probably never afford it anyway.

BTW, even though there are many Star Wars posters I
like, the only one I'd truly like to own is the
Birthday Cake OS.
