cards?
Dave:
Original release Underwater lobbies
and cards for at least one other Howard Hughes-produced RKO title,
Son of Sinbad, were printed on coated paper stock.

Subject: [MOPO] Help: Glossy lobby
cards?
Hi, all:
I have a question related to some lobbies I
just picked up.
I acquired three cards from Underwater, the
RKO/Howard Hughes/Jane Russell scuba movie. Oddly (to me anyway), these
cards are printed on glossy paper, as opposed to the matte cardstock I'm
accustomed to. Since these are the first cards I've handled for this film, I
was wondering whether this was how they were originally issued.
Or were they originally issued as normal and
then re-issued as glossies? Or are these from a later re-release? Or what? I
don't think they're repros as they show some age and wear. But they are
un-numbered and there is no NSS info on them. Any help would be
appreciated.
Thanks!
Dave Rosen
