I am almost certain that there must be a NSS number on this poster, weren't there 2 styles of the 1-sheet? I believe the NSS is in the bottom right corner of this poster.

without a song and dance.......i just want to thank bruce for his image gallery (next to his price history). if it were not for bruce, i would have have bid on the above poster thinking it was an original. in fact, bruce shows (IMAGES!!!!!!) that he sold the reissue for about 22.00 and the original for about 200. because of bruc'es site, i was able to compare the original versus the re-issue.

i should have been tipped off when the seller used the expression, "forties noir" instead of using a date.

i had asked the seller for extra photographs before i thought about the year. he said that there is an NSS number. not true. the extra photographs that i blew up showed numbers, but not NSS.

minutes before the auction's end, i notified the seller. he stated i was wrong. i referred him to bruce's site, and did not hear from him, again.

i wrote the buyer....... "congrats on your purchase. i am sure you will enjoy your reissue"

he responded, that he thought it was an original because it is listed as an original, also, with www.drnoir.com since the buyer is a customer of bruce (i saw his feedback), i told him to contact bruce, although bruce is very helpful to everyone. the buyer said he saw bruce's images after i told him to look, and he seemed confused, but resigned to buy the poster.

CHECK OUT THE POSTER............... original or not ???

but-----the bottom line is that bruce's archives and images are useful to all. thanks bruce. i think i made the right decision not to buy.
