The current subscriber count (based on e-mail addresses) is 433. There may be some people subscribed with more than one address so the actual number of unique individuals might be slightly smaller than this number.   The reason Michael sees 418 for the total distribution is because some people have mail delivery disabled. They may still read the posts via the Mail Archive but they are not actively receiving posts via e-mail.
