Hello Mopo'ers,

Does anyone have any posters, lobby cards, etc., that show silent film
star Anita Page such as:

A Kiss for Cinderella (1926)
Beach Nuts (1926)
Navy Blues (MGM, 1927, William Haines)
The Flying Fleet (MGM, 1928, William Haines)

Hollywood Revue of 1929 (MGM, 1929, with Laurel & Hardy et al.)
Free and Easy (MGM, 1930, Buster Keaton)
Sidewalks of New York (MGM, 1931, Buster Keaton)

Ms. Page is still with us and unofficially pushing 99 this August 4th
(official records say 96, but she lied about her age) and I usually see her
a few times a year in Los Angeles. I would like to do what I have been doing
for surviving Marx Brothers film cast members, such as Kitty Carlisle,
Charles Lane, Tony Martin, etc, and that is taking a photograph of them with
the poster art/image from their most notable films in the background.

This is a fun way to bridge the gap from the silent era to today's "watch
movies in your Ipod" era. I have the blue version (image) from "Sidewalks of
New York", which is by Al Hirschfeld, but am looking for the other poster,
which shows Anita in a polka-dot dress.

She is probably the last surviving actor from the "Hollywood Revue of
1929", and I would like to get a picture of her with that image to go with
my follow on Marx Brothers Hirschfeld images book on Laurel & Hardy, since
they were in that film too.

Please let me know if I can lease/purchase those images. I will have a
few small ones made that she will sign and will get one for each person that
supplies an image too.

   Thank you.

Daniel Kinske...

P.S.-I added the Navy Blues/Flying Fleet titles due to Ms. Page's
affiliation with the Navy--she married an Admiral for fifty years. Being in
the Navy myself makes that fun--kind of like when I had my photo taken with
Anchors Aweigh Star, Kathryn Grayson...
