You asked, I gave the response that occurred to me. You didn't
mention you'd had a problem with this person before, or my response would have
been different. But... what the heck? If you were certain of the way
you handled it, why did you even ask us the question? Sheesh...

had he said, i have the poster and would be happy to sell it to you, but
call me to discuss the price IS A HELL OF A LOT DIFFERENT than saying, i have it
and don't want to sell it, but call me because i might consider selling
it. he had 2 opportunities to give me ballpark figures, and chose not
to. rather, he made it seem that he was reluctant to part with it. i
thought i was nice by telling him to keep it. :) (I am not desperate
for that title, because i own the one sheet.)
JR---we don't disagree often, but I am going with my gut feeling on this
one, JR.
