Quite the contrary. THE SOPRANOS proves how entertaining
modern TV can be when skill is employed in the writing. This
is character driven television where the actors have "real" characters
to inhabit, and the directors know how to use them. I certainly
don't take the Italian-American caricatures seriously, but the
skill with which they are used is very, very entertaining, at least
to me.
