Hi JR - am I missing something here?
Don't see anywhere that Grey and co misdescribe this poster as being a
US poster.
Certainly they say "original" which it is, being the larger pre-war
Belgian size.
But there is nothing there misdescribing it as a US poster.
I'm sure with the international poster
scene now truly international many people are going to be interested in
a GWTW poster of any originality.
Of course if Grey described it as being a "US poster" and it was a
Belgian poster then I'd understand your chagrin.
As I say, I may have missed that bit in his post and links.
Having handled several of these GWTW Belgians in the 70s as a London
based dealer, I can assure you that US or not, they are one of the most
beautifully executed GWTW posters of them all from anywhere. Don't know
anyone that has ever had one though where that overprint hasn't covered
the original distribution line.
