if my recollection serves me well, i remember Sue advising people on MOPO that many posters were faded before the auction. Sue gave more insight than anyone else. Is that how it should be????
the poster i returned was not linen as stated then and stated now. it was paper-backed. it was SQUISHED into a tube and chips occurred throughout. it was faded from orange to yellow.....yet they still call it A- on linen.
Sue is correct.......they should not be given a pass. they are not novice ebay sellers.

Subject: [MOPO] Thank you Walter
I literally just got my catalog in the mail twenty minutes ago and noticed "other company" cards right off. Hadn't gotten through the whole catalog when Walter's email popped up. It's almost unbelievable. JR has a great point in his "business as usual" post. Maybe they don't think it's necessary to distinguish "other company" cards, but listing reissues as originals is too much. We're not talking about a less experienced collector selling a few things on ebay. This is a major auction house whose experts are suppose to be the most knowledgeable. This is definitely one auction that I will preview in person before bidding on anything.
I remember the last one and can't believe Michael's "Stranger on a Train" is back up on the block without any amendments to it's condition. I am still feeling sorry for the poor person that bought the extremely faded Vertigo poster in the last auction, but as JR said, if you have no reference point to compare to, you might not notice the difference.
Thanks Walter for the "knowledgeable" information!!
Sue

Are they real movie posters or some kind of personality posters?Walter ReubenVisit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___________________________________________________________________ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.
