I've also seen this scam with different variations.  Almost all of the time they agree to pay whatever you want, or will initially offer significantly more than your asking price.  Will always involve a money order. In the past year I've put a number of electronic items up on Craig's List, and receive at least one of these within a day of posting the item.  It's actually pretty annoying.  I pretty much now tell them to take a long walk off a short pier, and that's putting it nicely. 

Here are some good tips for identifying scammers - they're quite common but it never hurts to have a reminder:
1) Poor grammar.  No punctuation, fragmented sentences. This is probably the largest indicator I know.
2) Money orders are always the method of payment
3) Out of the country - big red flag
4) Low feedback or no feedback

As much as sometimes we want to believe a scammer is the real thing, because we want to sell our items, remain firm if your hunch says it's a setup.

check the question that was asked on one on my items wherein the potential bidder seeks info.  we have seen this reported on MOPO.  this scammer registered just yesterday, and has zero feedback.  i reported it to ebay......

A: WARNING TO ALL: THIS QUESTION CAME FROM member jerryseco22 . He registed yesterday and has a zero feedback. I blocked him from bidding, and reported this to ebay. CLEARLY A SCAM. Fellow members of MOPO have seen this before.
