Bob. Absolutely. Dan has done tremendous and vital work for the movie poster collecting community for many years, carefully documenting how to tell reprints and fakes from originals -- and never really received sufficient credit or recognition for it. Some people have even criticized him for doing this work, which blows me away. I can imagine that at this point he's pretty burnt out... I do hope someone else takes over and at least keeps the current information available to the public. It would be a shame if all the work Dan has put into this over the years just disappeared.
But I can certainly understand him wanting to move on to spending time and money on other things. I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank Dan Rickard for all the work he had done in this field and for undoubtedly saving me some money personally. -- JR ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Brooks" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, June 18, 2006 20:20 Subject: [MOPO] Sad news... > Dear Mopo: > > Sorry, I haven't been around much in the last few months - I've been so busy > with work, I haven't had a moment to do anything else (so, I've totally been > neglecting my movie-poster-duties).
