Bruce, I've wondered about this myself and I figured out part of what's happening: It seems all of the messages do show up on the archive list eventually, although sometimes it seems to take awhile -- it's nothing like real time -- and for quite often a fairly recent message will show up on the *second* page or even the third, even though it is less than 24 hours old... that's because if the original message which started the thread and which the recent message is replying to is old enough, it has been pushed back to the second or third page by newer messages with newer subject threads. At least I think that's what is happening.
