Please forward this e-mail to any friends who are interested in popular music of the last 50 years!

MovieArt has purchased the entire advertising and display contents of a family owned record store in Miamisburg, Ohio.
There are over 150 pieces of record company display advertising for recording artists and albums.  This type of material
is very rare compared with film posters of the same era.  Because, like film posters, the material was not created for
the general public, but for record stores.  But unlike film posters, there was no systematic saving of the material.
Most was thrown out.  In the case of this store, it was shuttered for many years - literally a time capsule.  There's lots of great material and the prices of most pieces is not particularly high.  There several spectacular pieces included an electrically illuminated ELVIS PRESLEY display from RCA records circa 1961-62 that would make a killer piece for any Elvis Collection. Incalculably rarer than a JAILHOUSE ROCK one sheet, and just as cool for $2000.  See the url below.

There's not much rock stuff, so don't expect Pink Floyd.  Lots of country artists, including a wonderful counter standee
for Patsy Cline.  Some die cut counter standees for Al Jolson's recordings on Decca Records.  A dynamite window
standee for the fifties FRANK SINATRA!  A great die-cut, three dimensional standee for THE MAMAS AND THE PAPAS
album FAREWELL TO THE FIRST GOLDEN ERA.

Lots of oddball stuff.  We just sold a counter standee for DAVID SEVILLE AND THE CHIPMUNKS for $145.
We sold a really fabulous standee for THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL for $350.

Condition on the stuff is mostly very good to very fine.

We have prepared an Excel spreadsheet which I will be happy to send to anyone who would like to see it.  We have
not photographed everything yet.

If you're a music fan, here are some really fab things at moderate prices.
