Whatever happened to the Leonard Powers web site? I was just thinking about the old fake-bearded phony the other day, but when i did a Google on the old boy, I turned up nothing. When I first visited the site, I was actually impressed by the Prof's expertise until I started to take a closer look at things. The Professor looked like something out of a bad high school play make-up job, and the whole site was obviously put together for the sole purpose of discrediting Dan's site and hyping some dubious posters these guys had for sale. There must be a ton of these repros out there, because somebody went to a lot of work to make this site and try to protect their investment. I'll be avoiding hot_cargo_trading, and thanks for the heads-up.

Well, just heard from another seller on eBay that has a "stamped" Pulp Lucky Strikes for sale here <http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280007525162&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:US:1>.

Now, I haven't heard back from him, so I cannot say for sure if he is simply misinformed about the poster and its history, or knowingly selling reprints, but he did suggest I check out a certain someone's site:

"Steve,
You might want to visit Professor Leonard Powers site. Just search for the name and chch out his take on Pulp Fiction posters and other.
Tom T"

He goes under the seller id hot_cargo_trading.

Like I said, I have not heard back from him, I simply asked him if he was aware of Dan's site at www.movieposterauthentication.com <http://www.movieposterauthentication.com>. Let's hope he is one of the people who stumbled across The Professor's site and didn't know any better.
