<p>I want to make sure all who MoPo members are aware of the <b>623 RARE &amp;
EXCEPTIONAL</b> three-sheets and six-sheets (including a great group of rare 1960s spy posters &amp; a <b>TON</b> of excellent titles) that I have on eBay closing Tuesday
night (8/15). What is included in this weeks items? We are selling solely
three-sheets (41&quot; x 81&quot;) and six-sheets (81&quot; x 81&quot;) and we have lots of top titles, some of which you are likely to not again see offered again for <b>YEARS</b> to come! But even though many are <b>VERY</b> desirable, each starts at just 99 cents,
with <b>NO RESERVE</b> on any item!<br>
<br>
<b><span style="background-color: #FFFF00">Here is a chart of this week's items:</span></b><br>

<br>
Be sure to check out these <b>623 RARE &amp; EXCEPTIONAL</b> three-sheets and six-sheets (including a <b>TON</b> of excellent titles) sometime before they end Tuesday night,
August 15th, starting at around 7 PM CST (either by going to
<a href="http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/currentauctions.php";>http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/currentauctions.php</a> or by using the link from my <b>HOME</b> page, <a href="http://www.emovieposter.com";>http://www.emovieposter.com</a> or by finding me by my eBay user
ID, emovieposter.com). <br>
<br>
Note that we started out the listings with a great Goldfinger three-sheet, Man
From Uncle three-sheets and six-sheets, and then other 1960s three-sheets and
six-sheets (there was a time during the 1960s when spy movies were incredibly
popular, with the James Bond movies and the spoofs and imitators, and the highly rated Man From Uncle TV show). I can't remember ever seeing even <b>ONE</b> three-sheet or six-sheet from <b>ANY</b> of the Man From UNCLE movies (the TV show was so wildly popular that <b>SIX</b> movies were created by stitching together episodes of the show, and were given theatrical releases all over the world!), and yet we are offering
a collection of four of the six-sheets and all six of the three-sheets! These
are followed by a group of over 100 six-sheets (including many great titles) and then <b>FIVE HUNDRED</b> three-sheets (including <b>LOTS</b> of great titles!) and many of the three-sheets and six-sheets were never used and are in quite nice condition!<br>
<br>
<b><span style="background-color: #FFFF00">What are some of this week's best titles?</span></b> There are far too many to list them
all here, but here are just a few (all are from the very first release of the
movie!):<br>
Three-sheets: <b>SOME LIKE IT HOT, GOLDFINGER, PSYCHO, ANGRY RED PLANET, WILD
BUNCH, TIME MACHINE, SPIDER, HARD DAY'S NIGHT, LOLITA, WHERE DANGER LIVES, BLACK GOLD, CRIMSON SKULL,</b> and <b>FLYING ACE</b> (three 1920's all-black movies!),
<b>NIGHT &amp;
THE CITY, 2001 A SPACE ODYSSEY, BRASHER DOUBLOON, WEST SIDE STORY</b> pre-Awards, <b>SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, AFFAIR TO REMEMBER, BARBARELLA, CAT'S MEOW</b> (a great 1924
Mack Sennett comedy short starring Harry Langdon), <b>SPEEDWAY, HUD, EVIL OF
FRANKENSTEIN, LOVE IN THE AFTERNOON</b>, and on and on and on!<br>
Six-sheets: <b>GUYS AND DOLLS, MY FAIR LADY, TARZAN &amp; THE MERMAIDS, BIGGEST BUNDLE OF THEM ALL</b> (great sexy image of Raquel Welch), <b>GUNFIGHT AT THE OK CORRAL, VERY PRIVATE AFFAIR</b> (Brigitte Bardot), <b>RIDE THE WILD SURF</b>, and on and on and on!<br>
<br>
It is important to note that three- and six-sheet posters are printed in more
than one piece (usually two or three pieces for three-sheets, but sometimes a
single piece, and usually four pieces for a six-sheet, but sometimes two
pieces). To give you the best possible idea of what the poster will look like
when the pieces are combined, as intended, we photograph each piece separately
and then digitally &quot;join&quot; the images together on the computer to show you what
the entire poster looks like (when there are multiple pieces, they are printed
with extra blank borders designed to overlap, so that the pieces can be glued
together and have a perfect &quot;fit&quot;). <b>BUT THE DOWNSIDE TO PHOTOGRAPHING THE
INDIVIDUAL SECTIONS BY THEMSELVES IS THAT THE LIGHTING IS NOT EXACTLY THE SAME
WHEN WE PHOTOGRAPH EACH PIECE.</b> Often this leads to part of the poster looking darker than the rest of the poster. <b>THIS IS DUE SOLELY TO THE LIGHTING WHEN WE PHOTOGRAPH EACH PIECE AND DOES NOT MEAN ONE PIECE IS &quot;DARKER&quot; THAN ANOTHER!</b> If one of our posters <b>ACTUALLY</b> has significantly different coloring from one piece to another, we <b>SURELY</b> note that in words. Otherwise, any color difference from one piece to another piece on a poster is purely due to photography and is <b>NOT</b>
on the actual poster, and when you see the poster in person, you will see that
this is correct!<br>
<br>
It is also important to note that many of these three-sheets and six-sheet
posters have censor stamps on them. Approximately 50% of the six-sheets we are
selling have one or more censor stamps, and approximately 33% of the
three-sheets we are selling have one or more censor stamps. What are censor
stamps? In certain countries, all posters were stamped with a &quot;censor stamp&quot;
that indicated that the movie had been approved by the censors in that country
(there are also tax stamps which indicated a tax had been paid). Sometimes these
stamps are fairly large (several inches in diameter), and sometimes they are
fairly small (less than 1&quot; in diameter). Sometimes the person doing the stamping went out of their way to stamp in a blank background area, or in an unimportant
solid-colored area, which is nice, but sometimes the person doing the stamping
stamped on faces and important areas! The stamps<br>
have a far greater effect on one-sheets, given that the same size stamps were
used for all posters, and what seems like a large stamp on a one-sheet may seem
like a pretty small stamp when applied to a seven foot square six-sheet! <br>
Most collectors feel that a censor stamp in an important area of a poster is a
major defect, given that it likely needs to be painted over by a restorer in
order for it to be removed. Most collectors feel that a censor stamp in an
<b>UNIMPORTANT</b> area of a poster (or a blank border area) is a <b>MINOR</b> defect, given that it has next-to-no effect on the poster image. In fact, some collectors feel they add to the authenticity of the poster, and choose to leave censor stamps in background areas on the poster, and not have them restored away. <b>WE ALWAYS NOTE WHICH OF THESE POSTERS HAVE CENSOR STAMPS, AND THEIR GENERAL LOCATION.</b> Given
that many of them are in blank background areas or in the borders, we consider
that a minor defect, and we still grade the poster as &quot;very good&quot; or &quot;very good to fine&quot;, if it is otherwise in quite nice condition (many of the posters we are
selling that have censor<br>
stamps are otherwise in <b>WONDERFUL</b> condition, and would surely be graded &quot;fine or better&quot; if <b>NOT</b> for the censor stamp, which, in many cases, is not at all
detracting, and could easily be painted over).<br>
<br>
<b>I FEEL CERTAIN THIS IS SURELY THE FINEST COLLECTION OF THREE-SHEETS AND
SIX-SHEETS EVER SOLD ON THE INTERNET AT ONE TIME! KNOW TOO THAT THREE-SHEETS AND SIX-SHEETS ARE FAR MORE RARE THAN THE ONE-SHEETS OF THE CORRESPONDING TITLES!</b>
You will see many posters offered by us this week where you could quickly find
many examples of the corresponding one-sheet for sale, but you might go months
(or even years) before you would see another example of the three-sheet or
six-sheet, and this is just a true with titles of the 1960s and 1970s as it is
with titles of the 1930s to 1950s, as three-sheets and six-sheets from ALL years
are difficult to find!<br>
<br>
Know too that a <b>LOT</b> of the 623 posters we are offering were never used in a
theater, but rather, sat in a poster exchange waiting to be sent to a theater,
but never were sent, and therefore <b>ARE IN COMPLETELY UNUSED CONDITION!</b> Theaters
that used these large posters almost always tore them down and threw them away
when they were done with them, so you rarely see three-sheets and six-sheets in excellent condition. While some of the posters we are selling <b>WERE</b> used in theaters, most of them were not, and <b>THIS MEANS THAT MANY OF THESE POSTERS HAVE
ONLY THE TYPE OF DEFECTS TYPICAL OF POSTERS THAT HAVE SAT ON A SHELF FOR A 30,
40, OR 50 YEARS</b> (most paper posters undergo aging even if they just sit for decades). A fair number of the posters have some darkening, dirt, or smudges on the outer portion of the poster that was exposed when the poster was completely
folded (sometimes it is just on one of the edges where the poster was folded),
but in the vast majority of cases, the darkening, dirt, or smudges is solely on the back of the portion of the poster that was exposed when the poster was fully folded, and <b>DOES NOT AFFECT THE FRONT</b>, so this is of course, a minor defect, as
no one will be looking at the back of a tiny portion of the poster! Of course,
not <b>ALL</b> of the 623 posters are in unused condition, but around 10% to 20% are,
and these are truly in about as good condition as one could possibly hope to
find an older three-sheet or six-sheet. <b>MANY OF THE 51% OF THE POSTERS THAT WE GRADED &quot;VERY GOOD&quot; OR &quot;VERY GOOD TO FINE&quot; ARE ALSO IN REALLY NICE CONDITION, BUT
THEY HAVE A FEW OFTEN MINOR DEFECTS THAT KEPT US FROM GIVING THEM OUR VERY
HIGHEST RATING, BUT MOST OF THESE POSTERS ARE STILL IN REALLY NICE CONDITION!</b> Most of the 39% of the items that got our &quot;lesser&quot; grade <b>WERE</b> actually used in
theaters, and have the types of defects you would expect from a large poster
that was attached to a wall and then taken down. These posters <b>ARE</b> very
restorable, and we know that a lot of dealers would certainly grade many of
those as being in &quot;very good&quot; condition. <b>WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO BE OFFERING THIS INCREDIBLE COLLECTION THAT INCLUDES MANY &quot;HIGH GRADE&quot; THREE-SHEETS AND SIX-SHEETS, MANY OF WHICH HAVE LIKELY NOT BEEN SEEN BEFORE!</b> Please look at our large images and anything we may have written in words about each poster <b>BEFORE</b>
you place a bid, and we think you will be happy with any poster you buy.<br>
<br>
<b>EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE LOTS OF GREAT POSTERS THIS WEEK</b>, every single one of these items started at just 99 cents with no reserve so there will be surely many real
bargains and quite likely some outright steals! As of this writing (Friday
morning), over 300 of these 623 items are still at their starting price of 99
cents(!), around 400 are still under $6, around 500 are under $20, and around
550 are under $30! And most of the 75 or so items that are over $30 are <b>FAR</b>
under their regular retail price (the ones you could find anywhere else). And
there are a <b>HUGE</b> percentage of items that would retail for $25 or $50 or much more on every dealers' websites which are still at just a dollar or two each!<br>
Obviously, many of these items will get one or more additional bids, but given
the very large number of such items I am selling, it is a virtually certainty
that a fair number will fall between the cracks and go for low prices (and some for joke prices!). But <b>YOU</b> can't get those great deals if you aren't bidding! <b>AND YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE!</b> If you place a bunch of fairly low bids but only
get one or two items, then you are sure to be happy, for you will have gotten
some really good deals, and paid a very reasonable shipping cost (we only charge a sliding $5.50 to $10 for U.S. customers, depending on how much you spend, <b>NOT</b>
how many items you buy, and outside the U.S. we charge the actual cost of
getting the items to you, plus $2 for packaging materials). Even if get nothing
at all, you will only be out a little of your time, and no more (since this is
one substantial auction of high quality rare movie posters you don't need to
travel to, or even leave your computer for!).<br>
<br>
<b>REMEMBER THAT IN THESE AUCTIONS</b> (as in all my online auctions), <b>THERE ARE NO OUTRAGEOUS BUYER PREMIUMS!</b> Other auctions charge around 20% <b>EXTRA</b>, for no other
reason than to line their pockets with your money, and some even have a $9
minimum buyer premium, so that a $1 purchase carries a <b>NINE HUNDRED PER CENT</b> buyer premium!. In <b>MY</b> auctions, what you bid is what you pay, plus a <b>VERY</b>
reasonable shipping charge (especially when you see how great we package
orders!). If you have ever bought from any other major auction company, you are
probably still stunned by their buyer premiums and by how much handling fees
they packed onto their shipping charges, but we never do that!<br>
<br>
I know it can be difficult to look over this many items in just a day, but
remember you can use our exclusive Current Auction Image Gallery (which is
located at <a href="http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/currentauctions.php";>http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/currentauctions.php</a> ) which has
large thumbnails of all our eBay items, and links from each item to the actual
eBay auction. Best of all, this gallery is searchable! You will really find this
a great benefit if you want to look at all of our items this week! You can
simply browse all of our current items by viewing the images in this gallery (40 to a page, but you can set it to display 20 items to a page or up to 100 items a
page, depending on the speed of your Internet connection) in our number order,
or you can use our search to only see thumbnails of your specific search terms!
<b>NOTE THAT EACH ITEM IN THIS GALLERY HAS A RECENT BID PRICE LISTED, AND THE
PRICES ARE UPDATED AT LEAST ONCE A DAY! THIS GALLERY CAN BE SORTED BY PRICE</b> (high to low or low to high), <b>WHICH IS A GREAT HELP TO THOSE OF YOU WANTING TO JUST FOCUS ON THE BEST</b> (or least expensive) <b>ITEMS</b>! I urge all of you to go to our gallery this week and at least glance over all the large thumbnails, <b>EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE NO INTEREST IN BIDDING ON THESE ITEMS!</b> Why do I say this?
Because it is fun to window shop when you are looking at this well-organized
gallery, especially given all the many wonderful items we are selling this week
(it is likely many of them will have images you have never seen before)!<br>
<br>
