Both my cards are unused, so I don't think anything
was applied that may later have come off. Also, both are printed on regular card
stock, not photographic paper.
Looking at them again, this leads me to believe the
"color" card was over-printed, as Jay has suggested, as opposed to
hand-tinted.
I'm still curious as to why the title card would be
left b&w, but I suppose it's possible the two cards came from different
sets, one of which was over-printed with color to give it a hand-tinted
appearance and the other which was left as is, with no colorization.
Interesting.
