Better yet, if you're going to have any of your posters framed after linen-backing, you should just send the posters directly to Sue Heim and she'll get them to Sylvia. Sue forgot to mention (hey Sue, you could use a lesson from our resident shameless self-promoter!) that Sylvia comes by her place once (or twice?) a month to pick up posters and drop off finished pieces. Linen-backed posters stretch out a bit during the backing process. Each one will likely have slightly different final dimensions, so you'll need odd-sized frames and Sue will custom cut frames to the exact sizes needed. Regular MOPO'ers know Sue is a real expert in her field (she's also a collector herself) and an asset to the poster collecting community. Trust me, you can't go wrong with the combination of Sue and Sylvia, and you'll be very happy with the pricing and quality!

Hello All,
I have used Sylvia Locken at Precision Restoration. Not only is she very good, but quick and very reasonably priced for her work. Her restoration is incredible, especially on heavy stock items. Jaime Mendez is another restorer that is excellent. I recently framed a three sheet that the whole bottom 1/3 had been missing. It was an incredible recreation job and you could not tell one iota of difference from the top 2/3 rd's and the recreated bottom 1/3. Both are in the Oceanside area. John at Poster Mountain in North Hollywood is excellent also. However, I primarily only use Sylvia as I do the studio's framing and much restoration for them and her turnaround is so quick and her work so good, I have to have that situation for those accounts. Sylvia's number is (877) 264-2312. Good luck.
