Thanks for posting this, Danny.
I wonder if the same spectacle will be seen for any of the 'stars' of today
when they pass?

Subject: [MOPO] Rudolph Valentino
Date: Thu, 24 Aug 2006 17:18:13 -0700
On August 23, 1926, Rudolph Valentino died from a massive infection caused
by a perforated gastric ulcer. At the internment of his body in the
Hollywood Memorial Park, a plane flew overhead and dropped rose petals.
Yesterday, 80 years after that event, a plane flew over the cemetery, now
called Hollywood Forever, and dropped rose petals to commemorate the
occasion.
Bye, Bye, Rudolph Valentino, we remember you and thanks for the memories!
