There was a list of top posters for me to pick up. I have almost completed that list of rational posters I could afford. I also picked up many along the way on my quest to complete the list. I have stopped buying like a mad man and will only pick up great deal posters now. For example - I picked up a great 3 sheet to Varan at a horror con for only $35.

Very interesting...it must be difficult..some of my friends just wonder about my collection...some think they must be very cheap...then I tell them and show them and they are so surprised...it is a very young hobby...most of the people really dont care about posters at all or anything related to movie memorabilia...I believe the issue of displaying them and storing them is a huge issue with new collectors...does anyone believe that we have more collectors than a few years ago? I have a feeling that there are less but more serious guys out there...I always wonder how many poster collectors are out there...

folks i'm not talking star trek..i still remain concerned about getting any of
my children interested in movie poster collecting...my oldest is 29..his
response "How much can we sell them for pappy cakes?" (he's so affectionate) maybe i should put him in touch with Bruce...my middle son age 22.."I think we should sell them and get a lifetime worth of box seat yankee season tickets" Maybe i could barter with Steinbrenner...well that leaves number three son..he's 17 and actually likes some of the posters but hasn't heard of the movie stars or seen the movies..with the exception of classic horror and sci-fi films...well i figure he's my best chance so this is what i did and am doing..he agreed to read
the learn about movie poster book which he did so now he understands the
lingo...i took him to columbus with me, some aspects of which he enjoyed...i have my posters listed and stored alphabetically..so were going through the list
and i point out the posters of note...we look at !
those posters together and we try and watch the movie from that title..he knows i like hitchcock so we started with vertigo and rear window..he asked didn't anyone else besides jimmy stewart do hithcock movies...cary g here we come. My final phase in this process will be to have him participate with me in e-bay auctions to get him invoved in the decision to buy process...i don't know how this will all turn out but its at least a glimmer of hope that my collection
could be passed on and continue to the next generation...best Alan
