I posted support for Frank Santos a few days ago and i just learned
from your email that he is no longer a registered user on ebay. Since I
did post favorable words about him I must explain why and how they took
place.
I went to the Morris Everett show in New York City a number of
months ago and met Frank Santos. He had a rented table at the show and was
selling linen backed posters. His work appeared decent after I looked
at about 50 on his table. In speaking to him I learned he lives in
Metuchen, NJ . I drive past Metuchen from my NYC office on the way
home via the Garden State Parkway. I bought two auctions from him on
Movieposterbid for 5 posters each. I pulled 5 lesser valued posters and
went to his home on the way from NYC. I gave him a check for the full
amount (10 posters), received a written receipt for the 5 and left.
He said he would call me in a few weeks. It is now about 5 weeks so I
called and he returned my call. He told me he had had triple bypass and
needed follow up work for additional problems. He promised to call in a
few weeks. I never looked him up on ebay as I do not care for the
genre of the posters he deals in.
Now that I am aware of the ebay situation I will call him tomorrow
and try to get you an update (as well as an update on my posters). I have
not followed the thread except for Dave Lieberman so if anyone needs my help
please email me you name, number of posters involved, additional information and
I will ask about your posters and email you myself.
