4) remember that words on a screen can be taken differently than spoken ones
this is one of the truisms of the internet that people don't quite
get most of the time.
if only email could come with voice inflection & accompanying pics of
the speaker all the time to see if he/she was laughing or scowling
when the emails are written!!
