Great post Susan, my taste also change all the time but then again I
always get back to the old after a cycle of change...very interesting...dont
know the reason but really love it this way....sometimes I discover a new
line or art on posters I love to collect and own in my collection...
When I first started collecting movie posters, I was pretty much stuck in
a Paradigm (as was my movie Viewing)
only Film Noir and B/W classics.
I wouldn’t even look at anything that didn’t have Bogie or Mitchum, Bette
Davis or many of the others,
Now I am buying posters for Yog and Schlock, Vampyres, Warhols Blood
for Dracula, Frankenstein, Plan 9 from Outer Space
I have watched movies lately that I had never heard of before, many of
the above but also many many Giallos,
The Horrors of Spider Island, Brides of Blood etc, and I cant
seem to get enough!
Horror Hotel sheesh!
Movies that are so bad theyre good and posters that maybe only cost me 20
bucks
So my question is do you find that after many years of collecting that
your tastes have changed and
gone from a rather rigid position to a more affiable and fun loving
place?
