Mrs. Miniver, US OS, Style C   Many of you may know that this is a very difficult poster to find.  It’s not highly coveted, except by AA collectors, but it is damn hard to find.  The only one I had ever come across was in the Gunnard Nelson auction.  Like an idiot, I passed on it there (although I did get many great items).   I had been trying to complete my collection of AA winning US OS’s for 10 years and had been down to Wings, Cavalcade, Cimarron, Grand Hotel and Mrs. Miniver forever.   I finally stumbled on a new listing for the poster on ebay in 2001.  It had a starting price of $50 and no bids.  I contacted the seller who said she owned a junk shop in south NJ and had the poster hanging in her shop with a $50 price tag for years.  She finally decided to try ebay.  I made a deal with her to buy-it-now for $100.   Now, thankfully, I’m down to only needing Wings, Cavalcade and Cimarron.   DBT Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___________________________________________________________________ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.
