Rod - eBay counters have never been the same since eBay took over from
Andale.
We've noticed totally erratic numbers, including absurdly high numbers of
visits on what are basically mundane items... 400-500 hits on a SHAWSHANK
REDEMPTION one sheet, or ELIZABETH one sheet.
It's a pattern most noticeable on newly listed items.
Listed things last week, and within a few seconds of listing, some items
were showing up to 10 hits each, others were at a minimum of 3. None were
zero.
I don't believe their "watching" numbers, either. Simple programming helps
give eBay the allusion of lots more activity in "looking and watching"than
there really is.
