if they are as experienced & talented auctioneers of movie paper as you suggest, then their eBay live auctions do not portray such experience.

as previously said by others, their pictures are obviously stock images for many items, condition stated is diametric to the pictures of images that may or may not be the items being sold (Invasion of the Body Snatchers lobby set is a good example) and even the starting bid prices/reserves look askew

good examples of that are:
Forbidden Planet 1 sh, graded A- starts at $3000 cn
Invasion of teh Saucerman 1sh starts at $3250cn
Day the Earth Stood Still 1sh starts at $4000cn

and yet a Psycho 1sh starts at $1250cn
Night & the City TC starts at $100cn
Invisible Boy LC starts at $100cn (might be the best card, but who cares on that title?)

but the simple fact that the pictures have no obvious representation of the items being sold is in my opinion, a very poor show of experience.

myself, I wouldn't bid on anything unless I actually had someone there like Dave Rosen who could examine the posters in person..

I do not know of the Ritchies Auction House that YOU are talking about, BUT the
Ritchies Auction of Movie Posters is in TORONTO this next Saturday and is a
VERY WELL ESTABLISHED and WELL KNOWN Movie Poster Auction formerly associated
with The Toronto Film Festival. Mike Orlando of The Hollywood Canteen in
Toronto runs it and is a very well known and reputable dealer, known to many of
the more established people in this business. Please go to www.Ritchies.com
for more REAL INFORMATION about this auction before spreading rumors of no
authority.
