hi all..
Many years ago I got this poster depicting the grand opening of the
transcontinental railroad in 1869.

It has been taped to a door for about 25 years I think and I wonder if
its worth taking down in one piece.
Also, does anyone know more about any reproductions made?
(somehow I doubt I have an original one..)
The image in the link shows a BW picture, my poster is in colour.
I also found a second type of this poster which is here:

but its clear that that is a centennial celebration poster.
The text below the image is different than mine.
Mine may well be printed in that year as well though.
