I understand your situation but you are both seller and buyer.  I am a buyer. 
 Ebay, with the best offer, has established a negotiating situation in which 
the seller holds all the cards.  The seller can list an item at an enormous 
price and then wait for people to make offers.  The seller can then decline all 
if he wants.  This is worse than high unknown reserves.  At least when you hit 
the reserve, it is sold.  The only sale here is the high price that you can 
buy it now at.  Ebay did this to cash in when people make offers and sellers 
stop auctions early but it is used by sellers to attempt to cash in on very 
high 
prices.

I steer clear of these Best Offers.  However, I am happy that they work for 
you.  I also assume you place reasonable prices or they wouldn't work.
