99% of the time when someone calls me on my cell & I am driving, I
keep it to under 2 minutes and otherwise I very simply pull over if I
must talk to you NOW. Otherwise I politely excuse myself & call you back
When driving, the road demands your attention, talking on your cell
phone while driving is for fools. Hands free or not.
Your safety should not be compromised just so you can tell your
girlfriend how pretty she looked last night. It should be saved for
emergencies. so that you do not create your own emergency
15 months ago I was stopped in the right lane of Desert Inn road
because there was construction in my lane and I was waiting for
traffic to open up so I could move into a free lane.. Some jackass in
an SUV travelling in my lane for hundreds of feet behind me hit my
3000GT full steam ahead because he was talking on his cell phone to
his wife. When the cops asked him he didn't stop he responded "I
didn't see him, and when I did, I didn't know why he was stopped"
pure idiocy
he did $9000 damage to my car. Fortunately because my japanese sport
car is so well constructed, I was unhurt
when someone calls you on your cell phone.. either pull over, or your
emergency, will become someone else's emergency
