I do not understand what slabbing lobby cards is all about and why it would even be compared to other hobbies.. The items in other hobbies are small, while most important posters are not lobbies at all. They are one sheets, inserts and half sheets which are best for framing. Virtually all slabbed items are in drawers while most prized posters are on the walls of collectors. To consider slabbing a small part of our hobby is an unnecessary expense and unneeded. As for the most important thing that has happened to this hobby I vote for the internet including eBay. In the past 10 years the internet has made us realize what is scarce and what is common. It has brought many new collectors onto the playing field and allowed us to fill collections that at one time were inconceivable. We no longer have to wait two weeks for Movie Collectors World to arrive or two months for a show or auction. The internet has given us immediate access to a world of information and our collections would be nothing like they are today without it. Claude Litton
