Nothing wrong with the description here, maybe a few better pictures would help.

Michael, As far as linen backing goes, you sound a bit hysterical, but I respect your views.

I am not sure what you collect, but being overly protective or paranoid about the conservation needs for you old deteriorating posters would leave you fully responsible as the temporary safe keeper.

The purpose of conservation and restoration is preservation, so future generations can enjoy these fantastic images.

One must really understand paper, and in this case Vintage movie paper. Vintage movie poster where never printed on quality paper, since they were meant to be thrown away anyway.

Best,
Dario.

the posts of linen vs unbacked AND WHAT RESTORATION WAS DONE PRIOR TO BACKING has been interesting. we can debate forever. take a look at the 2 great title posters on ebay now: http://cgi.ebay.com/SPIRAL-STAIRCASE-RKO-1-SH-ROBERT-SIODMAK-MCGUIRE-BRENT_W0QQitemZ270110721813QQihZ017QQcategoryZ2321QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/MAN-WHO-CAME-TO-DINNER-1-SHEET-BETTE-DAVIS-ANN-SHERIDAN_W0QQitemZ270110711377QQihZ017QQcategoryZ2321QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem bruce sold an unbacked good condition last week of the Spiral Staircase for less than the opening price on the linen-back one sheet offered on ebay. (i was watching it because i would like to buy the insert or half sheet.) so, the question is...........as nice and thorough as this seller seems to be, can you really know what work was done from an ebay ad? michael
