I am going to Columbus. I hope to see many "old-timers" there (along with
Morrie, the lovely Diana, and Marty, and Gene Arnold and so many others I have
known for decades!), and I really hope Jon Warren can make it, as I see him
very infrequently and I wish that were not so! If he and Ed Poole and Rich
Halegua are there, then the "pillars" of the online movie poster collecting
community will all be present.
If any of you other old-timers are going, please let me know, so I can make an
effort to at least meet with each of you for at least a few minutes. If we have
met in the past, it is always nice to get to see each other again (and lie
about how little we all have aged!), and if we have never met, it is great to
be able to put a face and a voice with the people I have sold to (and
corresponded with) so often, for so many years.
It is funny. In this Internet age, there are lots of major collectors whom I
have no idea what they look like, and have never even heard the sound of their
voice!
Oh, and one request. Any of you rabid "Hershenson haters" who may be going
please leave me alone and I will gladly stay well away from you. Life is too
short for us to need to interact with each other. I respect your right to have
no dealings with me, and believe me, the feeling is mutual. Fortunately, the
Columbus show and auction are so huge that there will be no need for us to even
be anywhere close to each other!
