Hi MOPOers --
I just wanted to write and say hello to all the MOPO members. I'm
finally on my vacation in beautiful Palm Springs, CA this week.
Today's weather hit 111F and I've gotten a good tan over the last few
days laying around the pool and drinking wine and Margaritas. I had
a fun drive today from Rancho Mirage back to Palm Springs. We took
Bob Hope Drive (near the Eisenhower Medical Center) to Gerald R. Ford
Drive to Dinah Shore Drive, finally ending up at the corner of Gene
Autry Trail and Kirk Douglas Drive. This place is pretty star-struck
from the Republican celebrities popular in Rancho Mirage to the more
liberal types and entertainment industry ones popular in Palm Springs
(like George Nader, Bing Crosby, Keely Smith, Fred Waring, Liberace
etc -- there's efven a small-time STARS WALK OF FAME on Palm Canyon
Drive in central Palm Springs). I'd like to thank the people who
bought from me on EBAY in the last month or s! o who h elped made
this much needed trip possible. It was much needed and I'm
appreciating every minute of my vacation!
