I found a local framer who is willing to encapsulate my 3- sheets with
Mylar so I can actually display them easily. First we thought to use
plexiglass, but I think that would be too heavy. He can easily obtain
the acid free foam core in the larger size, I can purchase a large roll
of clear Mylar, but how can he seal the edges securely around the
poster? It seems that there must be a way to seal the Mylar with heat
and a straight edge. He has a small shrink wrap machine, but not large
enough to shrink wrap my posters (or we would have gone that route) plus
he doesn't want to ruin his machine while working with the Mylar. I am
trying to get some ideas for him so we can actually proceed. I want
these 3-sheets off the floor! Any suggestions to secure the Mylar edges
would be appreciated.
