Hello Generous MOPO,
For those of you who know me, know that my children go to a public school here in Los Angeles. You have heard me rant how we are forced to raise through various fundraising over $400,000, just to give the kids some of the basics of elementary education. Welcome to LAUSD. Things like: Music Teacher, Art Teacher, Physical Education Teacher (You wonder why kids are fat and out of shape.) School LIBRARIAN, a teacher aid in every class room. (What a class room of 35 4th graders and one teacher is normal?) School Nurse, Computer Lab (As in we pay for the temp building) and Computer Teacher and the Computers, Chairs, Books for the library, Paper, School Supplies, etc.... So anyway, the principal of the school has a way to get Bill Justice to sign posters for the school to auction and raise money. http://legends.disney.go.com/legends/detail?key=Bill+Justice Those of you know what a Disney Legend Bill is. Bill served as an animator on such classics as "Fantasia," "Saludos Amigos," "Victory Through Air Power," "The Three Caballeros," "Make Mine Music," "Alice in Wonderland," and "Peter Pan." Among the memorable characters he animated are the precocious Thumper on "Bambi" and the mischievous Chip'n Dale. He also seems to have a fondness for anything Donald Duck. For some reason. So, if anyone is looking for a tax donation, The Booster Club is a 501C charity. Or if anyone wants to be extra nice and sell me something very cheap that I can in turn donate to the school for Bill to sign. I would GREATLY appreciate it. Posters, Lobby Cards, Photos, whatever..... Anything would be appreciated.
