After I finally understood that my cable didn't go out in the waning seconds of the show, it took me about 90 seconds to realize how brilliant the ending of the show was.
Chase built a climax that gave us a very small but extremely disconcerting view into what it must really be like to be a Tony Soprano. Having to constantly be looking over your shoulder, at everyone around you, wondering --- who's going to try and take you out. Is it that guy, no - it's that guy... no, it's... there's my wife... After coming to that conclusion I could forgive the whole episode not being the heavy hitter I was expecting. It was just as the show had lived - another day in the life of the Sopranos. That a guy like Tony Soprano can sleep at all is, in itself, amazing. And, yes, I agree with Dario... Watch your local listings/theatre for the movie!
