Hello all, As some may remember this was a discussion on MPF when it first launched nearly 2 years ago, the topic was all new to me then and i freely admit i didn't give people the correct chance to discuss the topic properly. I probably showed a lack of experience, sophistication and critical judgment about the whole thing, this aside...I have learnt a lot about the hobby and that this is a very important topic, people should be very aware of it all. Like Bruce said, thousands of $/£'s are being spent on fake material, and not just inserts. We should protect our Hobby and stop these criminals!!! I remember a topic about (The Minty White Professor!?) Could someone please explain to me, exactly what the story is behind all this? Was it a joke thing done to make people aware? or was it someone trying to pull the wool over genuine poster buyers? A message to Phil and Ari........ I think it's about time we stopped our forum wars and bickering? We need to join forces and concentrate on protecting our beautiful hobby! I'm willing to let bygones be bygones if we can put an end to our long and unnecessary feud. Take care all, Andy www.movieposterforum.com

Some titles were printed as restrikes .....now whether they were authorized or unauthorized, that is another story. My guess is that some were, but others weren't. The restrikes originated from NSS. They certainly were not printed back when the movies came out and they were not meant for theater use. Most of the minty whites you see today are not even restrikes, but total FAKES, not printed from the original plates. I wouldn't be surprised if the rochester boys are still cranking them out today. should we classify the minty whites into 2 categories? category 1: unauthorized/authorized restrikes category 2: complete fake David LiebermanCineMasterpieces.com602 309 0500 CineMasterpieces.comPlease vote YES for each one of our eBay GUIDES.Check out our eBay AUCTIONS.
