Hello, MoPoers: In honor of Canada Day, coming up on July 1st, Posteropolis is proud to present Mounties in the Movies, a mini-exhibition of posters for featuring the intrepid cinematic heroes of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Whether tracking mad trappers through the Rockies, mushing a dogsled across the snowbound tundra or belting out a tune with his sweetheart by his side, the Mountie was for decades a staple of the movies, kind of the northern equivalent of the frontier sheriff, but dressed in a much better outfit.
