Bruce,

I believe it was in your weekly email that you offered the printers Star Wars 1shs.on 9/11/01. I remember that I hesitated for about an hour after the email, because we all thought the world was coming to an end...luckily it wasn't and I was glad I picked up the A & C 1shs.

Dave also had a US Star Wars C printers 1sh on his web site stating he believe it was the only one to exist...(Dave, where were you in 2001, these at the time were well known). According to the site it sold for around $3995.00. He now has one for $3495.00. This may be great for us that bought them originally, but deceiving to those who are buying them now!

Doug

Dave

This was in with the U.S. Style A & Style C printer proofs I sold 6 or 7 years ago. In the find were 18 style A's, 33 Style C's, and around 10 or 15 of these Spanish Style C's. I sold them at that time for (as I remember) $150 each (I think the U.S. Style A's were $700 each, the Style C's were $500 each, or $1,000 for both). I sold them all at that time. If I get time, I will try to look it up, or maybe a MoPo member will remember it (or have saved it).

You say that "ACCORDING TO STARWARSMOVIEPOSTER.COM, THERE WERE ONLY 200 (YES, 200!) OF THESE PRINTED". But where do THEY get their info? There is an incredible amount of "mis-information" being passed around this hobby!

I have a question for you, and since you seem to subscribe to the "any publicity is good publicity" point of view, I will ask you publicly. Here is the question:

Some people in the hobby have been openly critical of some of your selling techniques, and the one most mentioned is the "years can go by without one of these coming up for sale". I personally completely agree that this is "crossing the line" of going from "clever salesmanship" to "outright deception", and very much wish you would drop it from all your auctions EXCEPT for the ones where it is true, of course.

Is it OK with you if I make the subject of my next club poll whether or not club members think this is just clever salesmanship or outright deception? I don't believe I have ever mentioned your business by name before in my club, and this would put it in front of 1,800 poster collectors. But I don't want to do this unless I have your OK.

Personally, I think it would HELP your business to drop this, and I would love to know what everyone else thinks. I look forward to your reply, either publicly or privately.

Bruce
