If you don't mind me stating the obvious: the IMDB has an option to
search by genre.
Its a little hard to find but on the main page click the little link
MORE behind the search bar.
Then, in the menu on the left, under Extra Content, click Browsable
Sections.
That should lead you to http://www.imdb.com/Sections/
Again, in the next menu, under Overview, Click Browse by Genre.
Then choose Sci-Fi from the table.
On the SviFi page in the text at the top it says it lists 8331 titles.
Click on that link (or this one:)
http://www.imdb.com/List?genres=Sci-Fi&&tv=on&&heading=10;Sci-Fi&&nav=/Sections/Genres/Sci-Fi/include-titles
and you end up with 8468 matching titles.
Possible drawback: this might be a registered user-only feature, not
sure about that.
And: there might be more that you want. I saw quite a few SciFi
TV-movies and a bunch of foreign stuff.
