John

Thanks very much for sharing what you know about this unusual subject. I too
have real trouble with the "posters were printed solely for use in New Zealand,
but needed ratings blacked out and added stamps" theory, because it doesn't
make any sense to me, but since an acknowledged expert says this is absolutely
true, I guess we both need to accept it!

I also completely agree with you that the two Butterfield 8 daybills are NOT a
case of one being the exact same as the other, but "lacks a plate", as I am
looking at the two daybills right in front of me, but again, an acknowledged
expert says this is absolutely true, so I guess we should believe him over our
lying eyes!

I sell many, many items in which I am far from an expert. I only put down
information I feel sure of, and, if I have any doubts, I put at the end of the
description, "If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail me and I will post
it here". Then I do post the information, AND e-mail all the bidders, but most
importantly, I add it to our database, so that if and when we get that item
again, we will have the added information the next time.

An example of this is the Mad Max daybill, where I used the excellent
information on your site to identify the one I am currently selling as a
re-release, and I gave a condensed version of the information on your site.

I urge any knowledgeable MoPo members to look over my current 950 non-U.S.
items and E-MAIL ME with any mistakes you may find (it is fine if you also post
to MoPo, but it really helps if you also directly e-mail me with the
corrections).

Thanks again!

Bruce
