Yes you are wrong in understanding that Dennis paid $85K for the Bride half
sheet. But you are correct in understanding he paid $33K for the Black Cat
half sheet that just sold for a record $89K.
And yes it looks as if all the results you posted were from this past
weekend's auction. But I'm not sure what exactly is your question.
Or are you trying to suggest that all the prices you listed are poor
results? Some of them look like record prices to me (like the It Came From
Outer Space WC for $836) even before condition is factored in (like nearly
$1200 for a faded and heavily restored lc from House of Frankenstein).
Or are you simply trying to suggest that some things fell through the
cracks? If so, I will agree with that. I think you point out how all the
time in your weekly auctions some things fall through the cracks and don't
sell for high prices. It's just a given that you can't have 1200+ items in
an auction and that every one will sell for a record price - some things
won't and some will slip under the radar.
