Dennis from Video Den posted a query because he hasn't been getting
my email responses to him, so I figured that aside from the phone
message I left him I would post something here to everyone who is interested
Currently, John Ours - who many of you know as the step-son of Morris
Everett & partner in the Vintage Poster/Hollywood Poster auctions,
but who I also know as my programmer - is currently working on a
total site upgrade that we expect to be ready within 8-12 weeks, or
possibly even sooner.
This new software we are using will hopefully be free of the software
bugs that we are continually having to fix with the current software
Additionally, we are adding many new features including increased a
full featured bulk lister, page counters, ticking auction end clock,
bulk bidding, import from eBay for sellers, an incremental bidding
scale, better search capabilities, embedded categories & expansion,
we are looking into easy billing for sellers, Paypal-friendly payment
system (we may introduce our own payment system, with the
co-operation of a major bank down the road), a scrolling "items
ending now" feature and other features as well.
Before we finish we will be asking sellers & bidders for suggestions
and we will create a polling page for members to make those suggestions
we also plan on introducing weekly trivia contests and the winners
will get movie posters
I am currently in talks with several movie personalities to do weekly
columns or interviews for content, but that won't happen until we get
the new site up & running
also, for those of you who collect other stuff, we plan on starting
99 cent no reserve auctions on the ComicBidZ.com sister site very soon
