Hi Channing:

Thank's for the e-mail and post to MOPO. I was reading about it on the IMBD and then looked at the so called famous quotes or comments from the film. I am no prude but man the language is really filthy from this film. I was absolutely stunned by what I read. It saddens me to think that this is in the number one box office position at this point. I would never go to it but have been curious about it after reading about it's production over time. It makes me realize that the world is a lot different than when I grew up in the 1960's. I would honestly be ashamed to be in or have my name attached to this movie. The language shock's people and is indeed inappropriate for kids and teens. I am a major fan/collector of Jerry Lewis and I can't imagine him in the 1960's making anything like this. He had good taste and respected his audience. I read one review that said that Richard Pryor would probably blush. That's a pretty sad commentary on our society. Yes, bring back some limitations to the rating system and I think the films would be better. I read that the F word is used 186 times in this movie. I read that a 17 year old girl went with her father to see this. They really enjoyed it. It's a very sad day to me anyway for filmmaking and our society in general when something like this is a hit. There is no innocence anymore!!!

Sincerely,

--Tom
