WITH LESS THAN 24 HOURS TO GO, THERE ARE STILL OVER 160 LOTS AT 99 CENTS, INCLUDING LOTS OF COMPLETE SETS OF 8 LOBBY CARDS, SOME IN MINT CONDITION! When was the last time you saw complete lobby card sets for under a buck?
WE JUST FINISHED TWO GIANT SALES OF LOBBY CARDS ON THE FOURTH AND SIXTH, BUT WE HAVE ONE LAST SALE ON THE ELEVENTH, AND IN SOME WAYS WE SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST! We were consigned over 150 lobby card sets that come from a former drive-in chain owner who purchased them directly from NSS, and these were "extras" that he never used at all, and they are about as close to "gem mint" as lobby cards can be (they are so nice you will likely wonder if they came from Rochester, N.Y., but we assure you they did not!). We were also consigned a few hundred other lobby sets from 3 other former theater owners, and many of those are also in really nice condition. There are some really good titles, a lot of "OK" titles, and a lot that no one cares about (kind of "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"). A lot of these cards are a zillion times more rare than the corresponding one sheets, and I don't know the next time you will find a lot of these, and if you do, the condition may well be significantly lesser than these babies! We also threw in around 150 better single scene cards and a few Title Cards, and you'll find some REAL rarities there, so they are really worth checking out. KNOW THAT WE WON'T BE SELLING ANY LOBBY CARDS FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS AFTER THIS! Given that we just sold $60,000 in lobbies the past few days, there are almost certain to be lots of great deals. WITH THIS MANY GREAT CARDS SELLING OVER A TOTAL OF EIGHT DAYS (the last two groups plus this final one), THERE IS ALMOST NO CHANCE THERE WON'T BE MANY GREAT DEALS, AND MAYBE SOME OUTRIGHT "STEALS". I BET PEOPLE WILL BE TALKING ABOUT THESE SALES YEARS FROM NOW, AND BRAGGING ABOUT WHAT ITEMS THEY GOT! Exactly what is in our Tuesday night auctions that close TUESDAY, September 11th on eBay? 143 "choice" single lobby cards and 520 complete sets of 8 lobby cards, all currently on eBay ending Tuesday, September 11th beginning around 7 PM CST! Read more about these great items below, or go see them right now (with large thumbnails and links to these great auctions on eBay for easy bidding) in our <http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/currentauctions.php>Tuesday Auction Gallery! What are some of the best items in this current Tuesday auction? SINGLE LOBBY CARDS: Shane (best card), Devil Is a Woman, North by Northwest, African Queen, Casablanca, Don't Knock the Rock (title card), Harmon of Michigan, Ice Follies of 1939 (Joan Crawford close-up), 10 Commandments (1923 version), I'm No Angel (Mae West), and much, MUCH more! SETS OF 8 LOBBY CARDS: Seventh Voyage of Sinbad, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Barkleys of Broadway, Planet of the Apes, Saturday Night Fever, Taxi Driver, and much, MUCH more! I could easily go on listing dozens more titles, but you really need to check these out for yourself! If you have the slightest interest in lobby cards from ANY year or genre, I think there is an excellent chance you will find at least a few here (or possibly LOTS) to interest you. You will find many extremely rare lobby cards and sets of 8 lobby cards, and many are in excellent condition! REMEMBER THAT, IN BOTH OF OUR WEEKLY AUCTIONS (unlike some other sellers of vintage movie paper), EVERY SINGLE ONE OF OUR ITEMS TRULY START AT 99 CENTS WITH NO RESERVE ON ANY ITEM! AND WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT 99 CENTS, PLUS $9 BUYERS PREMIUM, PLUS AN OFTEN "MIS-CALCULATED" SHIPPING THAT MEANS THOSE "99 CENT ITEMS" MAY END UP COSTING YOU $17 EACH! In OUR auctions, you can purchase up to FIFTEEN 99 cent "very oversized" items and your total cost is $14.85, plus a very reasonable $12 U.S. shipping charge for a total U.S. cost for those 15 items of just over $27 for ALL fifteen "very oversized" items. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER IS THAT ONCE YOU PURCHASE ANY ONE OF THESE ITEMS, IT COSTS VERY LITTLE EXTRA SHIPPING TO PURCHASE QUITE A FEW M0RE ITEMS, SINCE THEY CAN ALL GO IN A SINGLE PACKAGE! There may be quite a few really great buys this week, especially for those who focus on the items that are currently at very low prices! Bruce Hershenson eMoviePoster.com P.O. In our Thursday auctions we have a really great group of all sorts of "oddball" movie posters and LOTS of non-movie posters (war posters, magic posters, travel posters, posters from museum showings, etc, etc. There are 227 Special U.S. Posters in all (ANY SORT OF MOSTLY U.S. POSTERS that measure one-sheet size or smaller). Where did these posters come from? I am glad you asked! We regularly receive posters from hundreds of consignors, and the vast majority of them are standard movie poster sizes, and we gather those sizes together, and sell them in individual weeks (each week, posters of a different size). But we also receive a few posters now and then which are NOT standard movie poster sizes, and we also occasionally receive a few posters that are not even movie posters! Basically, this week we have gathered together more than 200 of these "special" posters, and are auctioning them all at one time. We urge you to look them all over very carefully, or they cover a HUGE! range of years and subjects and some are likely extremely rare! What are some of the best items in this current Thursday auction? You'll find LOTS of great posters including: a great 1940s Barnum and Bailey circus poster (advertising "Mr. & Mrs. Gargantua"!) plus more cool vintage circus posters, Beat Back the Hun with Liberty Bonds (and more cool WWI & WWII war posters), Los Angeles Fly TWA Superjets (and more cool vintage travel posters, plus all sorts of other cool non-movie posters (such as magic posters, museum exhibition posters, Royal Crown Cola posters, etc, etc). Plus you'll find lots of non-standard size movie posters of all shapes and sizes, from all sorts of movies! But you really are silly if you don't look these all over for yourself, even if you will likely not buy any of them, for there are sure to be LOTS of really cool posters you have never seen before! A case in point is a great 1972 poster for Mararajah Water Skies, which pictures a naked (and then completely unknown Suzanne Somers), with a "Right On" tattoo on her chest! What a great daring image in its day, and what an iconic representation of what the early 1970s were all about! Be sure to look at these 227 Special U.S. Posters ending THURSDAY September 13th beginning around 7 PM CST in our <http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/thursdayauctions.php>Thursday Auction Image Gallery)!
