It is the better practice, but we're really talking semantics here.

WHEN ADVERTISING A POSTER, shouldnt the word "REISSUE" or "R" after the date be
stated ?? isn't this the better practice? not everyone knows the year of as
original release.

  READ THE MESSAGES:

my first message: hello---please tell me the numbers and letters (NSS info)
on the bottom right corner. is the poster dated 1956?? if so, then it is a
reissue. it was originally released in 1948 or 1949. thanks.

seller response: Hello to you too! I have advertised it as an 1956 poster
which it is. It is original. It is not a reissue and it is not a reproduction.
It is a re release. The 1948/1949 poster was the first release, it was then re
released in 1956.

my second response: i had to check the year of the orig release date to be
sure. i do want this title, but i do not collect reissues. you are confusing
the terms REISSUE vs REPRODUCTION in your response. it is prudent to always
state the R after 1956, or the word re-issue. not everyone know the year of the
orig release. you should write the word REISSUE. all poster people do.
regards----mbb

seller's final response: ooops, I can't be bothered with non-entities such
as yourself who are too busy thinking they are above it all and are not. I've
been selling posters, lobby cards and other items for years and now I come
across a smart ass with no life. Go play with your toys.
