I got some emails like this 2-3 months ago when several hijacked
accounts were bidding on bruces stuff
sometimes it didn't make sense because of course fleaBay would send
out the kind of email that would be needed
it would go something like this:
this listing was the victim of bid fraud due to several fleaBay
member accounts being hijacked by hackers who subsequently made bids
with those accounts
we never would have known about it had not the actual bidders
contacted us to tell us they never had bid on these items because,
well we at fleaBay do not maintain extra security measures to prevent
this kind of fraud. Sorry.
....... something like that.. yeah

I was first underbidder on the Sting, but missed the Farewell by a
mile. I wondered why it went so high.
