IMPORTANT NOTICE! We are taking a VERY rare vacation from September 22 through
October 7. We wanted to have THURSDAY auctions that run during the last of the
time we are closed, which end on October 11 (three days after we return), so we
are starting this auction on October 1, so that it ends October 11. THAT MEANS
WE WILL BE CLOSED DURING THE FIRST SIX DAYS OF THESE AUCTIONS, AND WILL NOT BE
ABLE TO ANSWER ANY E-MAILS OR PHONE CALLS ABOUT THEM DURING THAT TIME. We WILL
return to our office on October 8, and will reply to any questions we received
while we were closed at that time. Of course, we will be completely able to
send all of these items, beginning October 12, the day after the close. If you
have a question about this item, please do not bid on it until October 8, but
if you have no questions, it is fine for you to bid on it anytime! Thank you
for your understanding of our need to take a rare vacation!

A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT THE 199 SPECIAL POSTERS WE ARE SELLING ON EBAY THIS WEEK:
We regularly receive posters from hundreds of consignors, and the vast
majority of them are standard movie poster sizes, and we gather those sizes
together, and sell them in individual weeks (each week, posters of a different
size). But we also receive a few posters now and then which are NOT standard
movie poster sizes, and we also occasionally receive a few posters that are not
even movie posters! Basically, this week we have gathered together 199 of these
"special" posters, and are auctioning them all at one time. We urge you to look
them all over very carefully, or they cover a HUGE range of years and subjects
and some are likely extremely rare!

Exactly what is in our Tuesday night auctions that close THURSDAY, October 11th
on eBay?
199 SPECIAL POSTERS, all currently on eBay ending October 11th, beginning
around 7 PM CST! Read more about these great items below, or go see them right
now (with large thumbnails and links to these great auctions on eBay for easy
bidding) in our
<http://www.emovieposter.com/gallery/thursdayauctions.php>Thursday Auction
Image Gallery!
What are some of the best items in this current Thursday auction?
UNCUT PRINTER'S PROOFS: Star Wars (3 different, Style A & C, plus Spanish Style
C).
MAGIC: Alexander (three different, plus 6 more cool ones!)
WAR: 7 different from WWI & WWII!
CIRCUS: 10 different, most from the 1930s to the 1950s!
TRAVEL: 12 different, most from the 1960s and 1970s
plus all sorts of "special" non-standard size posters of all sizes and from all
eras and much, MUCH more!
I could easily go on listing dozens of specific titles, but you really need
to check these out for yourself! There really are LOTS of really great posters
(both movie-related and non movie-related), and I am certain lots of them will
be new to you, and it is fun to look at them all over, even if you are only
"window shopping"!

CONSIDERING THAT WE JUST TOOK A COUPLE OF WEEKS OFF, AND CONSIDERING THAT
THEREFORE FEWER THAN NORMAL PEOPLE ARE SEEING THESE AUCTIONS (as of now), THERE
IS EVERY CHANCE THERE WILL BE MORE EXCELLENT BUYS THIS WEEK THAN NORMAL!

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER IS THAT ONCE YOU PURCHASE ANY ONE OF OUR
ITEMS CLOSING ON A SINGLE DAY, IT COSTS VERY LITTLE EXTRA SHIPPING TO PURCHASE
QUITE A FEW M0RE ITEMS, SINCE THEY CAN ALL GO IN A SINGLE PACKAGE! There may be
quite a few really great buys this week, especially for those who collect
posters other than movie posters!

A special added note about the uncut printer's proofs at the very start of our
auctions:

There is much discussion in the movie poster hobby as to whether the style C
"Star Wars" posters that exist were actually printed in 1977, or whether they
were printed at a later date. Some people say that the posters were only
printed for use in other countries, which is why they have no ratings box. But
the discovery in 2000 of these style C printer's proofs (one of which is
offered in this auction; see below for more about these posters) seems to
negate that argument, because obviously the posters were intended to have a
rating. It seems quite possible that after these proofs were printed, it was
decided not to use this poster, and perhaps someone later convinced a printer
to run off a bunch of these style C posters, but without the ratings box
(perhaps this WAS for use outside the U.S.). Also note that this printer's
proof was discovered in 2000! A man in southern California inherited a group of
uncut posters (all printer's proofs, see below for more on printer's proofs)!
, all from 1977, from a man who worked at a printer at that time. The posters
were solely multiple examples of five different 1977 posters. One of the
posters was a very forgettable title, "Damnation Alley", one was "Close
Encounters of the Third Kind", and the other three were all "Star Wars"
posters! Included in this great find were eighteen examples of the style A
"Star Wars" poster (with the original "77/21-0" NSS number), and thirty three
examples of the style C "Star Wars" poster, and twelve examples of the Spanish
style C "Star Wars" poster! The posters were consigned to Bruce Hershenson, who
sold 18 sets of both style A and style C U.S. posters, 15 individual style C
posters, and the 12 individual Spanish style C posters. All of the 63 posters
sold quickly, and very few have been re-offered for sale in the past seven
years. Now, one of the original purchasers of these posters (someone who
purchased one each of all five different posters) has re-consigned them to Bru!
ce Hershenson, and they are being offered for sale, in five separate e
Bay auctions. This auction is for the style C "Star Wars" one-sheet poster (see
elsewhere on eBay for the other four auctions). Note that this is a very rare
uncut printer's proof! After they were printed, they would then be shown to the
various people in a position to "OK" them, and once they were completely
approved, the printer would print the full print run of the posters. Not only
is a printer's proof far more rare than a regular poster, but it is also 100%
genuine, there is no fear of purchasing a reproduction!
